Kalika's singing is wonderous. I have never heard anything like it. The effect on the crowd was great and we made a large amount of money. The only problem was when Evelyn got caught pickpocketing. I really wished she would do that away from the rest on the group. We set of early towards the mountain.

As soon as we passed out of the town things got difficult. It was raining and the road was thick mud so the wagon couldn't travel very fast. There was also no shelter around. Anything that might have been once was either burnt down or ruins. We spent a wet night in the rain. The next day we spotted as group of riders heading our way.

When they arrived they told us that the best place for trade was at the fort a day's travel ahead. This seemed the best option and they left us a guard for the trip. They looked tall and muscular and resembled the guards at the tower. There was also a group of them at Ratherbask, and they strutted around like they owned the place. I don't like this much attention, but there is nothing we can do about it.

We arrived at the fort and found that it was beneath a mountain. From the discription we were given I suspect that this was Mount Tepest. We were directed on a inn and found a large group of men. Thisd is not looking promising. Valmer and I are going down late to find out what we can about the place. There are guards everywhere and they are keeping an eye on all the people staying at the inn. The local look downtrodden, those that are around which is not many. Though we questioned the innkeeper, he would not tell us much except that things got alot worse with the arrival of the castle.

We have found our destination, but things are looking difficult. Maybe something will turn up.
I am feeling much better today. The healer has helped, and though I will need at least a few days more to recover, I can think of other things than my health. The first concern is money. We have very little and must do something about it. Also we lost the goods we were carrying and must replace this if we are to contuniue as traders.

Evelyn came to get me from the healers and filled in the blanks since the attack. It seems that we came across a tower with guards. The guards asked us where we were going and that we had to pay a toll. This toll was more than Eliane and Valmer though reasonable. Then Eliane through a dagger at one of the guards and the trouble started. I got shot from a guard on the tower almost immediately and was put out of action. Maloniel was also shot through the eye. The horses bolted and Eliane jumped on the wagon out mand tried to stop them. Valmer chased one of the guards which was following the wagon. Evelyn took out most of the guards that were left, and the only injuries were Maloniel and myself.

Once we got to Ratherbask and they had settled the wounded with the healer, the rest of the party went to the only inn in the town. Kalika talked to the innkeeper and tried to get some money entertaining people. She didn't go very well with the keeper and got a late spot. When Kalika sang the response was all we could hope for. She received lots of money and Eliane went around collecting more. This is looking better for us, as Kalika now has some practical use.

Once I got back to the inn Kalika took me aside and talked to me. It seems that she pulled me away from ther road and dragged me to safety. I do think maybe I have misjudged her and should try and see her good points. Also she was upset about Eliane collecting money. Kalika thinks that the money should be her's as she was the one working for it. It is hard, I said, but we must keep the money for all of us. Kalika said that she was to sing tonight and I asked if we could use the money for the group. Reluctantly she agreed, knowing that we really needed it.

I talked to Eliane and said we needed new supplies for the trip, both for our survival and as goods to sell. She said that she would get onto it and find us things to sell. She was thinking that with the migration happening that food might be better than anything else. I agreed and told her to use the money that she collected last night from Kalika's singing.

When we talked to Maloniel she said that she had to say in Ratherbask to recover. I am now the new leader. This is going to be difficult. All the others have their own agendas and the party's mission comes second. I am relectant to take the leadership, but someone has to. The others may be hard to control, but I am prepared for dissent.

We have reached Braeburg and are almost at the bridge. The sooner we are there the closer we are to getting to the end of out mission.

The others are extremely annoying and Valmer's constant whining is driving me crazy. They just don't stop fighting between themselves and Maloniel has no control of any kind. The only solice is in Evelyn. Though I still don't understand her, she is the closest I can find to reliable (but not trustworthy).

Once we arrived in Ratherbask we found the healer. Both Maloniel and myself were left with him to heal. The main problem is that we found out the Valmer has no money to hand. All he has is introductions to select banks, but these are no good here. The healer has asked for more money than I had hoped for due to Malonial's condition. All the joint money is gone and soon everyone's personal money will also have gone.
Today we came across a band of pilgrims. They are in the way and as Evelyn and myself had climbed onto the cart to increase the distance travelled it was a bit of a problem. Elaine tried to get them to move out of our way, but was not successful. Then came our unexpected saviour. Kalika got of the cart and went to speak to the leader of the group. I'm not sure what she said, but the group moved out of our way pretty quickly. Maybe I have underestimated Kalika's usefulness.

Again another day of watching people on the move. The refugees seem to be constantly on the roads and have been heading away from the direction we are heading in. This is not promising for our mission, and gives me a feeling of forboding. But we may survive it after all.
We continued on our way toward the Gap. We passed into Lalkovnia. The travel is slow as Evelyn and myself are walking as guards. This might take some time, as we are reluctant to arise suspision. The day went well, except when a heard of wild boar crossed the road. Finally something I can handle.

The male boar just stared at us and went on his way after all the boars had passed. Though not looking for trouble, I was not fazed by these creatures. Evelyn was spooked by the male boar staring at her. She will soon calm down in these situations.

I'm a bit worried about the money situation. After Valmer's spending spree, the money that LOL gave us is getting low. I think Valmer will find the error of his ways when he needs to pay for things out of his own pocket. I'm sure no-one else can afford to.
We finally made it to land. This travelling by water my be faster, but it is nauseating. We arrived at Meore in Chaubrette to find out that only Eliane and Valmer speak the language. This is causing me some doubts as both are more concerned for their own well being than the mission.

Maloniel is not a good leader and is leaving things up to us. This, I assume is to get us to work as a team, but in this case has caused more grief than anything else. Eliane went and got us a cart and goods for us to pretend we are traders. This went well and she returned with reasonable equipment.

Valmer was to attend to accommodation. This went as expected, though worse for the party. What Valmer found may have been cheap to people of higher importance, but to my mind a waste of money of unimportant luxuries to house his unimportant body. The sooner we get rid of him the best.
Started on the journey today. Not much fun. The others are getting on my nerves and travelling by boat is not the best. I'm feeling quite sick and wished to be left alone. At least the others are not hassling me. I cannot wait to get of this thing and start the mission.
My group was called into see Mistress Dalya today. There seems to be some trouble and our group (God help us) has been chosen to lead a fact finding mission. There have been sightings of large black ships travelling the mainland coastline and raids of the shore up and down the Gap.

We were told that a flying castle has been spotted by other legionares and we have been sent to find out anything we can. It has landed on Mount Tepest in Lamordia. To do this we are being transported on ship to Meore in Chaubrette and than travel by foot around the Gap through Lalkovnia, Kurland, Braeburg to Ratherbask. From there we cross the bridge and travel back up the Gap to the Mountain. The improtant issue given to us is that we cannot go as LOL but as travelers and if captured, we are not to put LOL into danger. If trouble occurs we are on our own. With this group trouble is certain.

Malonial is going with us and we must report back to Prefectus Werner as soon as possible. We have been told we are leaving tomorrow. This will be interesting. I'm looking forward to getting away from this place and into the open spaces.
I have been in the LOL for three months now and am getting sick of all the training. This school work is also a bother as all we learn about is how wonderful LOL is and not a lot of useful things. If I don't get out of here soon I think I'll go crazy. But things are looking better. But things are looking better. I have been assigned to a newly formed group. We had a training session today. It was an eye opener to the skills of the other members and their fighting skills.

The young pretty girl was hopeless, as she spent the whole fight hiding after getting shoot.

The rest were better. Valmar (the noble) is better that I expected, but is a bit of a hot head and caused some concern for the outcome as he attacked one of the archers that hit him. I believe that he tripped over a wall. This would have been funny if I was not busy defending myself against another fighter.

Eliane seems to be full of herself. Always first to tell everyone what to do, though she did make it to the house as planned and did not forget the objective of the session.

Evelyn is the best of the party. I'm still not sure of her, but she is good with a bow and thinks the pretty girl is a waste of space. I tend to agree, though I'm still reserving judgement on all of them. In a tight corner, people show their true selves.
The training is boring. I've been though this too many times before and some of the others just hinder us. I think that it might have been easier if they separated us into different levels of skill. I am so busy with training that I have not had time to practice my other skills. At least the food is edible and the beds are reasonable.

The LOL are not quite what I hoped for. They seem preoccupied with their own agendas, which seem to have no main thread. But I'll have to stick with it and see if this is mainly with the training.

The quarters of the trainees are not great. We live in dorms that house only the same sex, but I'm feeling that I have no space. I really would prefer to leave things at the moment, and get into the open. I miss the quiet times of the hunt.
